How successful is the camouflage?
I thought that my personal painting was very successful. It is very hard to replicate something exactly right, but I was able to do it just fine. I used a lot of what I learned in the first clusters with scale and things to make sure that the camo painting I did was as close to the original product as I could get it. Camoflauge is very successful in this world. Animals, the military, etc, everyone uses it at some point in time.
What was your process in selecting a palette of colors?
I chose to do the box of Rainier because it had a certain kind of red and a certain kind of gold that was complicated to replicate, and I wanted to teach myself more about color theory and mixing paints. I spent a lot of time mixing darker colors with the red to make it a more mahogany red, and tried my best to get a color close to gold without the sparklies.
How and why did you select your site?
As a photographer there are certain things in places that catch my eye, and I liked the look of the beer coolers because of the different designs and patterns and fonts used for the advertising. The light was also nice to me because it added more to the display of the cases of beer, and the entire area was appealing.
Does the camo change over time or in particular conditions?
In some cases this could be true. In the store the only way it could really change is if things get moved. Otherwise, in the case of say.. A Chameleon, it changes on every surface it touches. Camo can change depending on the weather and the surroundings, it really just depends. There is camo all over the world.
